V EZHlLARASAN # 50
At the age of three Ezhilarasan had an attack of polio. Thereafter, he had to use a baton or crutches to walk. But a strong will and determination made him take a post graduate degree in commerce and then get himself trained as a computer programmer. He then worked
..
in Bangalore and Chennai. But tragedy struck him again in 2007 in the form of a road accident. His mobility was further curtailed after the accident. But he reinvented a career
for himself by becoming a spoken English trainer. He now runs a spoken English Institute in Salem. What makes his story of struggle stand apart is his commitment to the
..
less privileged children it the city. On holiday. he goes to Nesakarangal, a home for destitute children in Salem and teaches them English That started some time ago. Now Ezhilarasan teaches English to inmates of all orphanages ln Salem and surroundlngs free of cost. Philanthmpists in the city have arranged an auto rickshaw for him to travel around so that the children at various orphanages can avail of his teaching skills.
