Go not to the temple to put flowers upon the feet of God,
....மலர்களை கடவுளின் பாதங்களில் போடுவதற்காக கோவிலுக்கு போகாதீர்கள்.

First fill your own house with the Fragrance of love and kindness.
....முதலில் உங்கள் வீட்டை பாசம் மற்றும் அன்பு என்ற நறுமன சாம்பிராணியால் நிரப்புங்கள்.
Go not to the temple to light candles before the altar of God,
....பலி பீடத்தில் மெழுகுவர்த்தி ஏற்ற கோவிலுக்கு போகாதீர்கள்
First remove the darkness of sin, pride and ego, from your heart.
... உங்கள் இதயத்தை இருக்கும் இருள்களாகிய ... இருமாப்பு, அகந்தை, பாவங்கள் முதலியவற்றை முதலில் நீக்குங்கள்
Go not to the temple to bow down your head in prayer,
... கடவுளுக்கு தலை வணங்கி பூஜை செய்வதற்காக கோவிலுக்கு போகாதீர்கள்
First learn to bow in humility before your fellow men.
....முதலில் அடக்கத்துடன் சக தோழர்களுக்கு வணக்கம் தெரிவிக்க பழகுங்கள்
And apologise to those you have wronged.
... மேலும் நீங்கள் யார் யாருக்கு எல்லாம் தீங்கு செய்தீரோ, அவர்களிடம் மன்னிப்பு கேளுங்கள்
Go not to the temple to pray on bent knees,
...கோவிலுக்கு போய் சாமி கும்பிட மட்டும் முட்டியை மடக்காதீர்
First bend down to lift someone who is down-trodden.
... கீழ் நிலையில் வீழ்ந்து இருப்பவனை தூக்கி விடுவதற்காகவும் உங்கள் முட்டியை மடக்குங்கள்.
And strengthen the young ones.
Donot crush them.
... மேலும் இளைஞர்களை பலமாக்குங்கள், அவர்களை நசுக்காதீர்கள்.
Go not to the temple to ask for forgiveness for your sins,
...உங்கள் பாவங்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பு வேண்டி கோவிலுக்கு போகாதீர்கள்
First forgive from your heart those who have hurt you!
...முதலில் உங்களை காயப்படுத்தியவர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் மன்னிப்பு கொடுங்கள்.
