ஒரு சிஷ்யையின் ஆங்கிலம் கற்ற கதை
.
எனக்கு ஆங்கிலம் கற்க வேண்டும் என்று நீண்ட நாட்களாக ஆசை உண்டு.
It was my long time wish to learn English.
அதனால் என் கணவர் எங்கே கற்பிக்கிறார்கள் என்று அங்கும் இங்கும் விசாரித்து பிறகு வீட்டிற்கு மிக அருகில் உள்ள திரு.எழிலரசன் சாரிடம் இங்கிலீஷ் வகுப்பில் சேர்த்து விட்டார்.
So my husband enquired here and there where English is being taught. At last he joined me in Mr. Ezhilarasan's English training, very near my house.
அவர் எல்லோரையும் போல இல்லாமல் சற்று வித்தியாசமாய், ஒரு தகுதி தேர்வை வைத்து, அதை திருத்தி எனக்குள் எவ்வளவு ஆங்கில அறிவு இருக்கிறது என்று தெரிந்து கொண்டார்.

He was very different. He conducted an ENTRANCE TEST and first assessed my level of English.
பின்னர் வகுப்பில் வந்து சேருமாறு கூறினார்.
Then he asked me to join in the course.
நானும் அதில் சேர்வதற்கு முன்னர், நாம் தினமும் சென்றால் நம்முடன் தினமும் ஆங்கிலத்தில் பேசி, பின்னர் இலக்கணம் கற்றுக் கொடுப்பார் என்று நினைத்தேன்.
Before joining with him, I thought that if I attend classes daily, he will daily talk with me in English and later teach me English grammar.
ஆனால் நான் நினைத்ததற்கு நேர் எதிராக இருந்தது. ....
But what happened was something quite the opposite.
முதல் நாள் நான் வகுப்பிற்கு சென்ற போது ஒரு தெனாலிராமன் கதையை கையில் கொடுத்து விட்டார்.
On the first day, he gave me a TENALI RAMA story book.
பின்னர் அதை முதலில் என் கை பேசியில் கேள் என்றார்.
Then he gave his cellphone and asked me to hear that story from it. In that audio, he read that story in English and then explained it in Tamil, sentence by sentence.
எனக்கு ஒன்றும் புறிய வில்லை. ஆனால் நானும் அதே மாதிரி செய்தேன்.
I could not understand anything. But I did as I was told to do.
அதை கேட்டு முடித்த பின்னார் அந்த கதையை ஒரு முறை ஆங்கிலத்தில் படிக்க வைத்தார்.
After I heard that audio, he made me read it loud once in English.
பின்னர் அதை அவர் ஆங்கிலத்தில் படித்து என்னை தமிழில் கதை கூறுமாறு சொன்னார்.
Then again he read it out in English and asked me to explain it in Tamil.
ஒவ்வொரு அடிக்கும் சரியான அர்த்தத்தை கூறுமாறு சொன்னார்.
For each and every line he asked me to explain in correctly in Tamil.
ஆனால் என்னால் அப்படி சொல்ல முடியவில்லை.
But I was not able to tell it.
அப்போது தான் தமிழே எனக்கு சரியாக தெரியவில்லை என்று புரிந்தது.
Only then, I understood that I didn't have the required knowledge in Tamil.
பின்னர் அவர் தமிழ் தெரிந்தால் தான் ஆங்கிலம் கற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியும் என்று கூறிவிட்டார்.
Then he told that only if you know Tamil well, you can learn English.
நான் அன்றைக்கு நினைத்தேன். இப்படி பயிற்சியளித்தால் 40 மணி நேரத்தில் கண்டிப்பாக நான் ஆங்கிலம் கற்க முடியாது என்று.
At that time I thought, if the training continues like this, then definitely I will not learn English in 40 hours.
ஆனாலும் அவர் கற்பித்த முறைகள் மிகவும் சுவாரஸ்யமாக இருந்தது.....
Nevertheless, his training methodology was very interesting.
ஆனால் என்னால் வகுப்பிற்கு சரியாக செல்ல முடியவில்லை.
But I couldn't attend the classes regularly.
என்னால் அவர் சொன்ன வழி முறைகளில் கால் பகுதி கூட செய்ய முடியவில்லை.
I couldn't follow even 25% of the procedures he told me to follow.
ஆங்கிலம் என்பது பெரிய கடல் அதை 40 மணி நேரத்தில் எல்லாம் கற்க முடியாது என்பது மட்டும் தான் அவர் கற்பித்ததில் புரிந்தது.
The only thing I understood in his training was that English language is a big ocean and that you can never dream of mastering it on 40 hours.
ஆனால் ஆங்கில படிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற ஆர்வத்தை மட்டும் தான் அவர் நன்றாக தூண்டி விட்டார் .
I should definitely thank him for having instigated in me a deep interest to learn English.
நான் வகுப்பிற்கு சென்றது சிறு காலம் என்றாலும், ஆங்கிலத்தை எந்தெந்த வழிகளில் எல்லாம் கற்க முடியும் என்பதை நான் நன்கு அறிந்து கொண்டேன்.
Though I attended his classes only for a few days, I learned from him all the possible ways in which we can learn English.
அவரிடம் ஒரு குறை கூற வேண்டும் என்றால் 40 மணி நேரம் வர வேண்டும் என்று கூறினாரே ஒழிய, என்னுடைய காலவரையில் அது ஒரு மாதத்திற்குள் அல்லது ஒன்னறை மாதத்திற்குள் முடித்துக் கொள்ள என்று கூறவேயில்லை.
If at all I should find fault with him, then I may tell a point. He told that he will give me training for 40 hours. But he did not mention that there is time limit of one month or one and half month for completing that 40 hours.
அதனால் என்னால் செல்ல முடிந்த நாட்களில் மட்டும் சென்றேன்....
So, I attended the classes whenever possible.
எப்படி வேண்டுமானாலும் 40 மணி நேரத்தை முடித்துக் கொள்ளலாம் என்று நினைத்தேன்.
I thought I can complete that 40 hours to my convenience.
அவருக்கு ஒரு நாள் நான் தொலை பேசியில் அழைத்து பேசிய போது, நான் வெளியூருக்கு இன்னும் 10 நாட்களில் சென்று விடுவேன் என்று கூறிவிட்டார்.
Once when I called him over phone, he told that he will go out of station in ten days.
அதன் பிறகு தான் நான் தினமும் வகுப்பிற்கு சென்று, ஆங்கில கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக கற்று வருகிறேன்.
Only after that I am attending classes and learning English little by little.

அதனால் என் கணவர் எங்கே கற்பிக்கிறார்கள் என்று அங்கும் இங்கும் விசாரித்து பிறகு வீட்டிற்கு மிக அருகில் உள்ள திரு.எழிலரசன் சாரிடம் இங்கிலீஷ் வகுப்பில் சேர்த்து விட்டார்.

அவர் எல்லோரையும் போல இல்லாமல் சற்று வித்தியாசமாய், ஒரு தகுதி தேர்வை வைத்து, அதை திருத்தி எனக்குள் எவ்வளவு ஆங்கில அறிவு இருக்கிறது என்று தெரிந்து கொண்டார்.

நானும் அதில் சேர்வதற்கு முன்னர், நாம் தினமும் சென்றால் நம்முடன் தினமும் ஆங்கிலத்தில் பேசி, பின்னர் இலக்கணம் கற்றுக் கொடுப்பார் என்று நினைத்தேன்.

அதை கேட்டு முடித்த பின்னார் அந்த கதையை ஒரு முறை ஆங்கிலத்தில் படிக்க வைத்தார்.

But I was not able to tell it.
அப்போது தான் தமிழே எனக்கு சரியாக தெரியவில்லை என்று புரிந்தது.
Only then, I understood that I didn't have the required knowledge in Tamil.
பின்னர் அவர் தமிழ் தெரிந்தால் தான் ஆங்கிலம் கற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியும் என்று கூறிவிட்டார்.
Then he told that only if you know Tamil well, you can learn English.
நான் அன்றைக்கு நினைத்தேன். இப்படி பயிற்சியளித்தால் 40 மணி நேரத்தில் கண்டிப்பாக நான் ஆங்கிலம் கற்க முடியாது என்று.
At that time I thought, if the training continues like this, then definitely I will not learn English in 40 hours.
ஆனாலும் அவர் கற்பித்த முறைகள் மிகவும் சுவாரஸ்யமாக இருந்தது.....
Nevertheless, his training methodology was very interesting.

நான் வகுப்பிற்கு சென்றது சிறு காலம் என்றாலும், ஆங்கிலத்தை எந்தெந்த வழிகளில் எல்லாம் கற்க முடியும் என்பதை நான் நன்கு அறிந்து கொண்டேன்.
Though I attended his classes only for a few days, I learned from him all the possible ways in which we can learn English.
அவரிடம் ஒரு குறை கூற வேண்டும் என்றால் 40 மணி நேரம் வர வேண்டும் என்று கூறினாரே ஒழிய, என்னுடைய காலவரையில் அது ஒரு மாதத்திற்குள் அல்லது ஒன்னறை மாதத்திற்குள் முடித்துக் கொள்ள என்று கூறவேயில்லை.
